Ann Wagner makes a good point in her OpEd today on the VAT, the government doesn’t have a revenue problem, the government has a spending problem. New taxes, like a VAT, will stifle growth. The President’s Commission should look for innovative ways to reign in spending, including a repeal of the health care legislation.
